Design in Response
to Health Crisis
These spreads come from the Seeking Plural Narratives anthology, a collaboration between design students at KCAI and University at Buffalo SUNY. This section focuses on how designers throughout history have utilized their practice to respond to the health-related crises unfolding before their eyes.
My main focus alongside my collaborator, Andrew Bonalle, was to show the similarities between designed responses to the AIDS crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic — mainly focusing on the social alienation that occured alongside both health crises.
