Okie Homage
For our Queer Printed Archive elective, we were prompted to explore our relationships to archives, memory, and the past to make a narrative claim about the topic. We were then to make a series of monotypes in response to this prompt.
I chose to make my project about queer Oklahomans, as I truly didn’t know of many despite also being a queer Oklahoman. I spent most of my time on this project researching the figures and imagery which were included in the final prints, enriching myself with the knowledge of this history and these people’s voices.
